The new semester at Opole University of Technology started off very intensively for Erasmus+ students. During their very first week in Opole, they had the opportunity to take part in a variety of integration and informational events that helped them get to know the university, the city, and each other better.
The first item on the program was an integration meeting, during which the students took part in a social game of Bingo. It’s a simple but very effective way to break the ice – allowing them to quickly make new friends and learn more about their peers from different countries.
In the following days, a trip to Srebrna Góra was organized. The students had the chance to see unique fortifications and discover a fragment of Polish history. A walk through the picturesque area and exploring the historic secrets of this place will surely remain a memorable experience.
There were also plenty of sports activities. The students went bowling together and visited the ice rink, where they could test their skills and have fun in a great atmosphere. It was a perfect way to bond and get to know each other better in an informal setting.
An important part of the first week was also the organizational and informational meetings. The students met with staff from the International Relations Office, who provided them with essential information about studying at Opole University of Technology. They also had meetings with Erasmus+ faculty coordinators, who helped clarify initial questions regarding class schedules and course selection.
The first week was just the beginning of the Erasmus students’ adventure at our university. Step by step, they are getting to know Opole, the university, and Polish culture. We believe this semester will be an unforgettable experience for them – full of new friendships, exciting challenges, and inspiring encounters.
We warmly invite all students of Opole University of Technology to join in the integration and show openness toward our international guests. Every conversation, walk, or coffee can become the start of a special, international friendship!
