In connection with the ongoing implementation of the GreenCamUz project – Green Campus Initiative: Integrating Sustainability into Higher Education in Uzbekistan – the official project communication channels on social media have been launched. Through these channels, project partners will keep everyone updated on the progress of activities, events, workshops, study visits, and inspiring initiatives related to sustainability in higher education.
The GreenCamUz project aims to integrate sustainability principles into university curricula in Uzbekistan by exchanging experiences with European partners and using modern educational strategies. As part of the initiative, the following will be developed:
- Green campus strategies for six universities,
- 12 new or updated courses on sustainability,
- Workshops and training sessions for academic and administrative staff,
- Pilot projects and a network of 120 Green Campus ambassadors.
Opole University of Technology, with its expertise in sustainable engineering and energy efficiency, serves as an expert partner in the project. Our university shares knowledge on green technologies, such as renewable energy systems, smart campus infrastructure, waste management and recycling, and sustainable mobility. Additionally, we will organize practical workshops for partners from Uzbekistan, covering topics such as eco-driving, efficient energy management, and integrating eco-friendly practices into daily university operations.
