GreenCamUz launches its official website – a new knowledge hub for Green Campuses

April 14, 2026

The GreenCamUz – Green Campus Initiative: Integrating Sustainability into Higher Education in Uzbekistan project is entering its next phase of implementation. We are pleased to announce the launch of its official website, which serves as a comprehensive source of information on all activities carried out within the initiative: GreenCamUz — Erasmus+ CBHE

The new platform has been created to promote the project and disseminate its results. The website provides detailed information about the project’s objectives, partners, ongoing and planned activities, as well as news updates, photo galleries, and materials related to the implementation of sustainability in higher education. The site will be continuously developed and enriched with additional content, including project outcomes and the results of the project team’s work.

The project is implemented under the Erasmus+ KA2 programme – Capacity Building in Higher Education and will run for 36 months. Its total budget amounts to €359,682, and its structure includes 7 work packages carried out by an international consortium of partners from Uzbekistan, Poland, Turkey, and Lithuania.

The project’s key objectives include the development of a Green Campus strategy, the implementation of 12 new or updated courses related to sustainability, training for 48 academic and administrative staff members, and the preparation of 120 GreenCampus Ambassadors. The project also предусматривает the implementation of six pilot projects at universities in Uzbekistan, the creation of a virtual knowledge-sharing platform, and the development of cooperation with local businesses.

One of the project partners is Opole University of Technology, which is responsible, among other tasks, for organizing one of the international training sessions. From May 18–22, the university will host a delegation of project partners. During the visit, an intensive programme of workshops is planned, focusing on sustainability issues such as promoting pro-environmental attitudes, eco-driving, environmental protection, and developing modern educational pathways enriched with ecological content.

The GreenCamUz project is an excellent example of effective international cooperation aimed at transforming higher education towards a more sustainable future. The new website is an important communication and knowledge-sharing tool that will help disseminate project results more widely and inspire other institutions to implement green solutions.
