Incoming students from our partner institutions are only accepted on the basis of a nomination by their home institution.
Opole University of Technology accepts Erasmus+ mobility students for one semester only. Extensions of the mobility period are not possible.
Please note that nominations submitted for the full academic year will be rejected.
We kindly ask our partner institutions and students to take this rule into account when preparing nominations and applications.

Nominated students will receive a link to the online application form.
The maximum number of ECTS credits a student participating in the Erasmus+ exchange programme may undertake during one semester is 36 ECTS credits.
APPLICATION DEADLINES
- Winter semester: June 15th and for
- Summer semester: December 15th
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Please take note that students must know the foreign instruction language (English) at an intermediate (B2) level in order to follow the lectures and complete assigned projects. The knowledge of foreign language can be randomly checked upon arrival.
GRADING SCALE
In accordance with the Rules of Study at Opole University of Technology (Resolution of the Senate of the Opole University of Technology dated 25 April 2012) and pursuant to binding provisions: The Act of 27 July 2005: Law on Higher Education (Polish Official Journal No. 164, item 1365 as amended), grades awarded for Opole University of Technology courses and which appear on Opole University of Technology transcripts are: 5,0 – excellent, 4,5 – very good, 4,0 – good, 3,5 – satisfactory, 3,0 – sufficient, 2,0 – fail.

ACCOMMODATION FOR ERASMUS+ STUDENTS
Students coming for Erasmus can be accommodated in one of the dormitories of the Opole University of Technology. Reservation of a place in a dorm is usually made by staff of the International Relations Office during the student application process.
The Opole University of Technology has three dormitories (PRYZMA, ZYGZAK, ZAŚCIANEK) with nearly 760 places in a single and double rooms. Dorms are located at the 1st Campus (Mikołajczyka Street in Opole) with easy access to:
- University Conference Center (Łącznik)
- Student Service Center (COS)
- International Relations Office
- University canteen
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Faculty of Production Engineering and Logistics
HEALTH INSURANCE AND VISA/RESIDENCE PERMIT
INSURANCE
Please make sure you are insured before coming to Poland. UE citizens are required to have valid European Health Insurance Card. Those of you who come from outside of the EU are required to buy proper insurance. The school does not provide students with health insurance.
VISA/RESIDENCE PERMIT
Citizens of the European Union, as well as Switzerland or other countries belonging to the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) may enter Poland without a visa and remain on Polish territory without legalising their stay for 3 months. If a period of stay in Poland is longer than a 3 months, EU citizens are obliged to register their stay. In order to obtain the residence permit, documents have to be submitted by the student in person by the first day of the 4th month from their entering the Republic of Poland.
Citizens of non-EU/EFTA countries should obtain a visa from a Polish diplomatic post in their country before coming to Poland. If they wish to prolong their stay in the Republic of Poland, an application for a residence permit for a fixed period should be submitted to a voivode competent for the place of the student’s planned stay at least 45 days before the end of the residence period based on the visa, or before the end of the period for which the previous residence permit for a fixed period has been granted.
