April 29, 2026

From April 20–24, 2026, the 15th edition of the Erasmus Partnership Conference took place at the Opole University of Technology. This year’s event was held under the theme: “The Heritage of the Opole Artistic Landscape: A Bridge Between Past and Future,” emphasizing the importance of cultural heritage as a bridge connecting the past with the future.

As in previous years, the conference provided an excellent platform for strengthening academic partnerships, exchanging experiences within the Erasmus+ programme, and engaging in discussions on international mobility and cooperation. Representatives of partner universities of the Opole University of Technology from Montenegro, the Netherlands, Portugal, Ukraine, Romania, and Turkey participated in the event.

Throughout the week, guests actively took part in a rich program of events. These included visits to the university’s administrative units, which offered insight into the structure and functioning of the Opole University of Technology. Academic staff from abroad conducted classes with students, sharing their knowledge and experience, while administrative staff presented their institutions’ offerings, introducing students to opportunities for studying and developing abroad.

An important element of the conference was the Academic Networking Fair “Incubating Partnerships.” All participants took part, treating it as a unique opportunity to establish new academic contacts, develop joint initiatives, and explore future areas of cooperation. These meetings fostered intensive exchanges of knowledge, experience, and best practices, strengthening the international network of partnerships.

Due to the conference theme, the organizers also included elements related to the cultural heritage of the region. Participants visited the restaurant Regionalne Doznania, where they had the opportunity to taste local products in a modern interpretation. The program also included sightseeing in Opole, during which guests learned about the city’s history and its tourist attractions.

An important highlight of the program was a visit to the Museum of Opole Silesia, where participants could explore the history and culture of the region. A trip to Tułowice offered a behind-the-scenes look at the Old Factory, where participants had the opportunity to observe the production process of both traditional products – part of the regional heritage, and modern goods currently exported worldwide.

The visit was complemented by a tour of the Silesian Porcelain Museum in Tułowice, where a rich collection of products from now-defunct Polish factories was presented. Participants learned about the history of the porcelain industry in the region and its significance as an important element of Silesia’s cultural heritage.

This year’s edition of the Erasmus Partnership Conference once again confirmed that the Opole University of Technology is an active center of international cooperation, open to dialogue, innovation, and the building of lasting academic relationships on a global scale.
