The partner university of the Opole University of Technology – the University of Trento (Italy) – invites you to take part in the International Staff Week 2026 entitled “Future-Ready Universities. Navigating Challenges in International Mobility and Research”.
The event will be held in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) format, in cooperation with the University of Twente and the Autonomous University of Barcelona:
- virtual component: 28–29 April 2026
- on-campus component in Trento: 11–15 May 2026
In the face of dynamic global changes, universities must develop new strategies, innovative approaches, and strengthen international cooperation. During the Staff Week, participants will work in international teams using the Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) method to jointly develop solutions that support resilience, sustainability, and universities’ readiness for future challenges.
The programme includes two main thematic tracks:
- international mobility,
- research.
The task of the working groups will be to analyse current challenges and develop a medium- to long-term strategy (5–10 years) enabling universities to respond effectively to change while maintaining stability and sustainability.
The programme also includes:
- a Study Abroad Fair (Wednesday, 13 May 2026), promoting partner institutions and exchange opportunities for UniTrento students (partner institutions may delegate participation to their outgoing students currently studying in Trento),
- networking events and cultural activities in Trento and the surrounding area.
Participants
The programme is addressed to administrative and technical staff working in:
- international cooperation and mobility,
- research support and management.
The number of places is limited to 50 participants (25 per thematic track). As a rule, one representative per institution will be accepted, unless the organisers decide otherwise. Selection will be based on existing inter-institutional agreements and the candidate’s professional profile.
