Opole University of Technology is implementing a project entitled: “International study programme: Design and Manufacturing Engineering,” co-financed by the European Union under KATAMARAN – Creation and implementation of international study programmes – 2024 call.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

TASKS AND ACTIVITIES IMPLEMENTED IN THE PROJECT

  • Development, in cooperation with the partner, of the study programme, including the description of learning outcomes, their verification criteria, and teaching materials supporting student learning;
  • Development, in cooperation with the partner university, of teaching materials for student education, including distance learning;
  • Establishing, together with the foreign university, the requirements for a double diploma and the diploma-awarding process;
  • Organisation of study visits and working meetings in Poland and abroad;
  • Training for representatives of OUTech on communication, cultural differences, teaching methods in an international environment, and language skills;
  • Verification of learning outcomes by training participants;
  • Promotion of the new study programme at international education fairs.

TARGET GROUPS

The project’s target group consists of OUTech staff involved in the creation of the international study programme “Design and Manufacturing Engineering.”

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Main objective:
To develop the internationalisation of the Opole University of Technology by establishing a new international study programme in the field of mechanical engineering.

Specific objectives:

  • Increasing the attractiveness of Opole University of Technology among international students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff by expanding the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering’s English-language offer;
  • Improving the quality of education at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering by creating an international study programme enabling students to obtain a double diploma;
  • Increasing the competencies of OUTech representatives in creating international study programmes.

PROJECT RESULTS

The outcome of the project will be the development and launch of an international first-cycle full-time study programme “Design and Manufacturing Engineering,” delivered in English and lasting 7 semesters.
