Researchers’ Fair at Opole University of Technology – a space for science and international collaboration

April 29, 2026

On April 21, 2026, a networking event titled “Incubating Kreative Partnerships” was held at Opole University of Technology in a hybrid format. The international Researchers’ Fair brought together academic communities, innovators, and international partners collaborating within the KreativEU European University Alliance.

The event was an important element of the university’s internationalization strategy, focused on building relationships, fostering collaboration, and initiating joint research projects on a European scale. Approximately 170 participants attended the fair, representing partner universities and international institutions, including guests of the Erasmus Partnership Conference. Among them were researchers from Ukraine, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey, and Romania.

The event program was designed to support both the presentation of research achievements and active networking. Morning partner presentations provided an opportunity to learn about the profiles of participating universities, their accomplishments, and their research potential.

One of the key highlights was the “Most Wanted” Poster Session, during which around 60 projects from various scientific fields were presented. The interdisciplinary nature of the presentations emphasized the broad scope for research collaboration and knowledge exchange.

As part of the Science Slam, early-career researchers presented their work in short, dynamic formats, promoting science communication and helping to develop presentation skills.

The program also included a Speed Chatting session, enabling quick one-on-one meetings and small group discussions. This format encouraged the establishment of new contacts and the identification of potential areas for collaboration.

The Researchers’ Fair was the first event of its kind at Opole University of Technology, creating a space for integrating the academic community and building international partnerships. The fair highlighted the growing importance of inter-university cooperation and the need for platforms that support the development of joint research and innovation initiatives.

The event was carried out as part of the project “OUTech@KreativEU: development of competencies, mobility, and synergy within the European University.”

The project is funded by the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 (FERS), under the NAWA project “Support for European University Alliances,” project no. FERS.01.05-IP.08-219/23.
