We are pleased to invite students to participate in the Spring Open Science School, which will take place in Camerino, Italy. The School is an intensive, practice-oriented programme designed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and practical skills across the four core pillars of Open Science: Open Access, Open Data, Open Educational Resources, and Citizen Science.
This edition will also highlight how Open Science approaches can support cultural heritage research and practices, by improving access to knowledge, fostering transparent and reusable datasets, enabling open educational resources, and encouraging the active participation of local communities through citizen-driven initiatives.
The programme will open with an introductory session on the foundations of Open Science and the European policy framework, including links to Horizon Europe, EU Open Science strategies, and COARA commitments. Each following day will focus on one pillar, combining conceptual sessions with interactive workshops, case studies, and hands-on exercises.
Participants will benefit from contributions by leading national and international experts. The School will conclude with a synthesis session highlighting key insights and practical recommendations for implementing Open Science practices.
